Mental health services

Our team of specialists is committed to helping people experiencing various mental illnesses. We offer two programs to aid in this: an intensive outpatient program (IOP) and a partial hospitalization program (PHP).

IOP provides services to adults who need intensive support to manage their mental health. It gives an outpatient level of flexibility with more intensive support than traditional weekly therapy. Our patients participate in therapeutic groups, which provide peer support and accountability, teaching skills and assistance in achieving goals. Masters-level therapists and nurses with specialized certification in psychiatry facilitate these treatment groups.

In a PHP, all sessions are focused on identifying and addressing situational stressors to facilitate recovery. A combination of group therapy, individual therapy and closely monitored medication management is the most effective treatment for behavioral health illness. This program meets five days a week for five hours. Our PHP is designed for those who:

  • Are 18 years old and older
  • Have symptoms of depression, anxiety or other illness
  • Need short-term stabilization
  • At risk for psychiatric hospitalization
  • Stepping down from psychiatric hospitalization

Senior mental health care

We understand the senior population needs special care for mental health problems. We specialize in treating adults who are 55 and older facing mental health conditions as well as:

  • Aging and transitional coping
  • Grief and loss
  • Life stress
  • Memory issues with behavioral challenges
  • Relationship programs

Using their unique knowledge in geriatric medicine, our team offers 24-hour nursing care, daily psychiatrist sessions, family, group and individual therapy and medication management.

Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT)

ECT uses a brief electrical stimulation to treat severe symptoms of mental illness. It involves the application of an electrical stimulus to the scalp, causing the brain to release neurotransmitters. Most patients who receive an entire course of treatment find rapid relief from their symptoms. Still, they should have a complete psychiatric and medical assessment to determine if ECT is appropriate.
